This project transformed an underused garage and basement into a fully functional living suite for the clients’ teenage daughters — a space designed to evolve with them through highschool and into college. The layout includes two spacious bedrooms, a full bathroom, a cozy living area, a laundry space, and a kitchenette. Careful planning was required to work around existing mechanical and utilities, and to introduce daylight and exterior access despite portions being below grade. The result is a bright, comfortable space tailored to the family’s needs; brought to life through collaboration with a great client with an eye for design.
